Buzon Screwjack Pedestals (deck surface supports)

What are Screwjack Pedestals?

Screwjack pedestals are accessories which support a deck surface above (in most cases), a waterproofing membrane.

Why?

Indoor / Outdoor flow - With the building code stating that an exterior deck’s waterproofing membrane must be a minimum of 100mm below the level of the interior floor slab, a screwjack pedestal will allow the deck’s walking surface to be supported at the same height as the interior floor level…

Superior drainage  …whilst still promoting watershed – (seeing water can escape between the pavers or timber planks down onto the waterproofing membrane below).

Space Optimisation - Screwjack pedestals also hide unsightly services below an attractive deck surface

Access to membrane - Being able to remove a deck’s surface allows leaks to be diagnosed and the membrane to be easily cleaned.

Raised floors / platforms / stages  - Temporary raised surfaces for exhibitions or shows can easily be erected and dismantled.

Acceptable Solution (External Moisture)
Screwjack pedestals are categorised as an “acceptable solution” according to E2/AS1.

Why Buzon screwjack pedestals?

Height and Slope Adjustment - While most pedestals have only height adjustment, Buzon pedestals have both height and slope adjustment allowing for the deck surface to be perfectly flat (0 degrees) while the membrane below slopes away to drainage.

Load bearing - Each pedestal can support over one tonne of weight

Surface area - Buzon pedestals have the largest surface area of any pedestal on the market @ 325 cm2 (15 cm diameter)

European Standards - Buzon pedestals have been manufactured to precise European standards

Proven Performance -
Since 1984, Buzon pedestals have been supporting surfaces all over the world in some of high profile public places such as the Acropolis in Greece and Disney World in Florida to name a few.
