Innovative pedestal solution - 28 March 2008

Skellerup Viking Roofing and Waterproofing are proud to announce the launch of their latest range of accessories – BUZON SCREWJACK PEDESTALS.

With the building code stating that a deck’s waterproofed surface must be a minimum
of 100mm below the level of the interior floor, the Buzon range of screwjack pedestals
from Belgium, support a tile paver or timber deck surface whilst allowing water to drain
through onto the waterproofing membrane below. Accordingly, the deck surface can
be at the same level as the interior floor slab without compromising the waterproofing
integrity of the deck.

While other systems only have height adjustability, the Buzon range is both height and
slope adjustable, meaning the deck surface does not have to follow the slope of the
waterproofed surface below ie: can achieve a perfectly flat (0 degree) surface.
With the first pedestal having been developed by founder Claude Buzon in
1984, Buzon are world leaders in their field, being called upon to supply product and advice for some of the most challenging architectural and civil engineering projects on the planet.

Imitators have continuously tried to emulate the qualities of Buzon pedestals, but have found it difficult to create a pedestal with such engineering precision and robustness – each pedestal being able to withstand 1.9 tonnes of weight. The range has started well in NZ with Northern Region Territory Manager Jared Adams securing 2 projects and 3 further
specifications in as many weeks of the first shipment having landed in the country.
